Why we built this
AWSS CO., LTD. is a Thai aircraft wastewater surveillance company built to give public health authorities, airport operators, and civil aviation regulators a working early-warning system at the border. We focus on three things: collecting aircraft wastewater under a secure chain-of-custody, running validated RT-qPCR analysis with strict QA/QC, and delivering actionable, origin-segmented intelligence to the agencies that can act on it.
We work where aviation meets public health. Our protocols are aligned with ICAO Annex 9, 14 and 17, the WHO International Health Regulations (2005), and the CAPSCA framework for points of entry. Our outputs are designed to plug directly into the systems used by the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, the Ministry of Public Health, and Airports of Thailand.
Our positioning — Monitoring Health Beyond Borders — is operational, not slogan. Thailand cannot afford another reactive shutdown of inbound travel. Aircraft wastewater surveillance is how a modern aviation hub keeps borders open and biosecurity tight at the same time.

Tourism and international trade contribute close to 20% of Thai GDP. The country expects over 40 million foreign arrivals per year. Any disruption to civil aviation — flight suspensions, airport closures, blanket travel restrictions — cascades into tourism, services, employment and macroeconomic stability. Thailand cannot rely on reactive containment alone.
Suvarnabhumi (BKK) is a genuine ASEAN super-connector. A pathogen entering Southeast Asia via Bangkok touches dozens of onward destinations. That makes BKK one of the high-leverage sentinel sites the global modeling literature actually flags as strategically valuable.
Thailand sits between high-surveillance and low-surveillance regions. It connects to neighbors with thinner genomic capacity — exactly the blind spot a Bangkok sentinel site is positioned to cover. This is a regional role, not just a national one.

Earlier detection lets authorities respond with targeted, evidence-led measures rather than border closures that vaporize tourism revenue.
